Keep dry, at room temperature and away from light.
Sensory signature
Amber, in all its depth.
First the brown caramel. Then a woody warmth. Finally a deep taste that lingers, clean and lasting.
- Colour
- Deep amber, luminous at the edge of the spoon.
- Texture
- Dense, supple, slow to thread.
- What lingers
- Woody, warm and lasting, never heavy.
Our tasting stance
When you open it, the dark colour looks almost opaque. Spread thinly, the amber turns luminous. In the mouth, the density slows the tasting before a clean, woody taste.
Taste a small spoonful at room temperature, then explore the pairing of your choice.

Really high quality honey. I had brought some back from Bahrain but I think it was not real Sidr. This one clearly is: very dense, a perfect taste. Very quick delivery and the honey comes in a beautifully made presentation box. In short... Very happy with my purchase, I will certainly buy again. Sabrina

Essential questions
Before you choose
01What does the Yemeni Sidr Honey taste like?
Caramel notes and woody warmth linger on the palate. A honey to savour slowly, one small spoonful at a time.
02Where exactly does this honey come from?
The declared origin of this honey is Yemen, in the Wadi Do’an region. The published report describes its identified sample; it does not by itself certify the origin of every jar.
03Why can its texture change?
The viscosity of a honey varies naturally with temperature and time: a cool room makes it firmer, gentle warmth makes it more supple, without changing anything about its quality. The Sidr Honey stays dense from one jar to the next, and that slowness to leave the spoon is part of its signature.
04How should you taste it?
Take a thin spoonful and taste it on its own, at room temperature. Wait a few seconds between the caramelised opening and the woody finish so you can feel its length. A clean, dry spoon protects the jar; served too cold, this honey closes its aromas and loses the persistence that sets it apart.
05What does the signature presentation box contain?
The Grand Cru holds one 250 g jar, its presentation box and a tasting spoon. Two Presentation Boxes bring together two 250 g jars, each in its own box with its own spoon. The box is given exactly as it is: the jar stays held in place, its batch number and its harvest date legible.
06Where can you read the batch analysis?
CETAM report M253022 can be read in full from this page. It describes the sample identified in the document; its presence does not prove that every batch currently sold is covered.
