Which spoonful should you begin with?

Four honeys on one side, eight crisp recipes on the other.

Jar of Yemeni Sidr Honey on a dry stone wall, dried jujubes and olive trees

Our story

A House born of a journey

A spoonful of honey that melts slowly. An almond whose crunch answers its coating. Graines de Pèlerins brings these two pleasures together: honeys with identified origins and almond recipes to discover according to your taste.

Arid landscape at sunset, the ochre valley of Wadi Do'an with Sidr trees and palms, origin of the Yemeni Sidr Honey

The quest

Every honey has an address

The first was the Yemeni Sidr Honey, brought back from Wadi Do’an, in the Hadhramaut. The others were chosen the same way: a valley, a flowering, a beekeeper.

Each tasting offers a contrast to explore: creamy honey on still-warm bread, a fruity note around a crunchy almond. Our wish: to give you simple points of reference for finding the flavours you will enjoy returning to.

Yemen · Wadi Do’an

The Yemeni Sidr Honey

A dense amber matter, a brown caramel, a woody warmth that lingers long after the spoon.

Jar of creamy White Honey from Kyrgyzstan at breakfast, bowl of fromage blanc with red berries and mint, summer tablecloth

Kyrgyzstan · Tien Shan

The White Honey

Harvested at altitude, it crystallises on its own into a pale, fine, velvety cream, scented with mountain flowers.

Jar of Egyptian Black Seed Honey on pale travertine with fresh cut figs, olives and an olive branch, raking summer light

Egypt · Nile Delta

The Black Seed Honey

A mahogany robe, a frank attack, a peppery length that signs the finish.

Jar of Rose Aromiel from Russia on a flowered tea table, macarons and strawberries, pink peonies, summer garden

Russia · Acacia and rosehip

The Rose Aromiel

A limpid acacia honey infused with rosehip: floral softness, pink tint, lightness in the mouth.

The collection

Four honeys, four origins

Yemeni Sidr, White from Kyrgyzstan, Egyptian Black Seed, Rose from Russia: four materials, four ways to serve them.

The second material

After the honey, the almond

The almonds came in through the same door as the honey: the door of the table and of sharing. Eight recipes roasted and coated, made in small batches, to set in a dish beside the open jar.
